Are we really that clever?

Have you ever thought that you can ever just get away with something without anyone knowing? If you have, think again!

Have you had a moment in your life when you knew what you are doing was wrong, but just knew that nobody would know because you were going to keep what you did a secret? I can say that I have quite a few times growing up. The time I broke a window playing baseball. The time I broke a Christmas light outside my grandparents home with a soccer ball, the list goes on and on. While I am able to effectively tell myself this, there is always one that DOES know, no matter how tucked away our indiscretion is. No matter how big or little, serious or not serious, God ALWAYS knows. He knows before we even do it. Even moreso, He is saddened when we try to hide it instead of being honest about it, even when we try hiding it from Him.

Hebrews 4:13 – “And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

This is very powerful to me when I read this. This alone tells me that I am not hiding anything from God. Everything I attempt to hide He sees. He knows what is going on before I even try to hide something. Dare I say, before I even would do something He already knows. To think, He can keep track of everything that 7.5 billion people on earth does, whether big or little, good or bad, He knows all. Crazy to imagine how one being can track all of that! I know that would put me out of my mind. That is the glory and power of God. We are all His children, whether on the good side or bad, we are His. He is very clear about He is willing to forgive anyone for anything as long as we are able to come to Him and ask for forgiveness.

The point of this post is to put your full trust into the Lord. He is the way, the truth and the life. Do not live a life of trying to hide things from God, because it will never work. Give your pain, struggles , fears, anxieties, anger, etc. to the Lord. Let Him have it all. He will take care of you. I know He is taking care of me. Of course, it may not necessarily be instant that everything disappears, but I can say firsthand that you are on the right track to something bigger than you can imagine!
