Do you remember to start your day with the Lord?
Have you ever taken a step back to realize you are having a tough day? Was your mood not been quite right from the moment you woke up? How about were you sad and just couldn’t figure it out? With all these questions in mind, ask yourself this…. Did I start my day with the Lord?
I can say myself that days I don’t begin with giving thanks to the Lord and praying for His will for me, I don’t quite feel right. This is where Satan lies in wait for. Any microscopic opening to attack where we have fallen short. His whole goal for any follower of Christ is to divert them from God’s grace. So he lays traps for us along our paths that are so enticing, so appealing, that they grab us…. Hook, line, and sinker.
If we allow ourselves to wake up, give thanks to God, give our will and life over to Jesus, There is no room for any of the negative emotions injected into this world by Satan. Satan wants us to flood our mind about circumstances and the “what if” scenarios that occur throughout the day. If we take Jesus with us throughout the day, those “what if” moments seem like nothing because our Lord and Savior takes care of them for us. I always get reminded that God calls me to trust Him in all ways and all areas of my life, without reservation.
Psalm 28:7 – “The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”
This is so powerful. What I have noticed throughout my life is that when I put a reservation from trusting God in any area of my life, be it large or small, is when my life starts to turn for the worse. My focus is keeping God in command of all areas of my life and when challenges arise, thank Him for allowing me another opportunity to trust His will for me.
Psalm 62:8 – “Trust in him at all times, oh people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
I find it easy to trust in God when things are going great. I think to myself, dang this is going great, thank you LORD. However, when the opposite is occuring, I find myself at times scratching my head wondering why in the world God allowed this. The good news from what I learned is that God allows trials in order to truly see what you faith in Him looks like.
In closing my friends, put your trust in God. It is impossible to go wrong by putting your full, unreserved trust in Him. Praise be to the LORD Jesus Christ. Glory to God in the highest.
Until next time my friends, peace be with you always!
