Have you had a mixed bag of emotions about an event? Perhaps a failing relationship/marriage that you are trying to workout? What about job struggles? Well you know what? God has the plan!
I can say personally that I have had to deal with all these struggles above throughout my life. Each time in the thick of things I get myself to wondering, “Why is God allowing this to happen in my life”? I recall a wide array of emotions (anger, frustration, sadness, confusion, uncertainty, fear, etc). I could never figure out why I couldn’t hear God’s voice in amidst my turmoil. Atheists would revel at this notion that a Christian couldn’t hear God amidst a crisis. To them, this proves that God doesn’t exist. Unfortunately for the Atheist, this couldn’t be further from the truth. While we may not HEAR God, He is extremely close to us. He has work for us to do.
I had a personal experience that even if I felt there was not a God, I would have believed at that point. This post is not for that so I will be saving that for a later post (Maybe my next one). This post is all about knowing that God has a plan… For everything!
Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”.
This simple scripture speaks volumes as to who has the plan no matter what the circumstances are. Even when I have noticed in my life as a young kid until now as an adult, it was clear that God had a plan for everything.
God led me to move with my Grandparents instead of my Aunt because He knew that would put me on a course to being born again in the spirit. I couldn’t see the road along the way, but that is what it ultimately led to. Another example is meeting my wife. I wasn’t practicing my faith for the longest. I went to church, I prayed, and I believed in God. However, I wasn’t attached to my faith. Meeting my wife put me on a course to getting back into the church and strengthening my bond with God.
What I have remembered all these years is God’s timing is perfect. All of His children at times tend to take their own will and run out ahead of His timing. We end up learning each time this happens whether immediately or down the road that this plan never works. Then we realize that we truly do need God!
The important thing to remember is no matter what we plan, big or small, we must always leave room for God to make any changes. Until next time my friends, God Bless!
