2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me”. (Source)
From a wordly view, it is so easy to overlook how powerful this scripture really is. I mean with everything happening in the world today, it can be challenging to sit back and say that God’s grace is sufficient when we have all the problems in the world staring at us in the face it seems. Well it is true. His grace IS sufficient enough. Look at everything He has done for us leading up until now. Look at the pathway He has paved for us. It is a simple and narrow road that leads directly to Him!
I can say that I know that I don’t deserve His grace as a sinner, but He still gives it. I look back on all the sins I have been responsible for and think… How in the world will my sovereign God ever forgive me for that?? Well, He loves me, unconditionally. That’s why. If I am willing to submit to His will, confess my sins, and be willing to repent, He will forgive me. On the other hand, if I were to sin and decide that I have no need to ask God for forgiveness and repent, then that would be another story of course.
He wants to forgive us! That is why He became flesh and a living sacrifice so that we may have eternal life. How awesome is it to have a Father that did something that was sacrificial for us on a level that we cannot fathom long before we were born? Just so that we can be saved and inherit the Kingdom of God. Also that we were hand-formed in our Mother’s womb…. That makes me feel pretty darn special. I think about my children and how much I love them. I love them a whole lot. My love for them doesn’t even compare to how much God loves them.
Until next time my brothers and sisters in Christ, God bless!
