Hello brothers and sisters! What a great topic to discuss isn’t it? When I think of the way that the world is nowadays, I am grateful for a living God that is eternally merciful and gave a way for me to have eternal life!
How it is so easy to misunderstand what “born again” is really all about. It is such a beautiful thing. I think of all the things in life that I can consider “the most important decision of my life”. For me, being born again was the single most important decision in my life. Now my life involves doing what I can to witness to as many as possible.
Romans 14:12 – “So then each of us will give an account of himself to God”. (Source)
If we all had to give an account to God, based off of His commandments, how many of us would make it to Heaven? God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. That whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life – John 3:16. I am grateful that Christ paid the price for my sins. I can tell you that I was a sinner prior to being saved. To date, in some respects I still commit sin as does everyone. Today my sins aren’t quite the same now that I have a little knowledge and a better way of life in place. I am grateful for all of the people God has used to get me to where I am today. I know today that as things are happening, God will use them for good, regardless of what it is. I have envisioned being born again as a miracle in and of itself. How do each of you understand how being born again is?
Put God first, keep Christ close to your heart, and everything else will follow. I am grateful to have a Father that loves me so unconditionally, that no matter what, He will restore our soul daily if we allow it. That He wants all of us up there with Him in His Kingdom for all eternity.
