God is such a Marvelous, Loving, Caring, Holy Father…Yet He is so mysterious in His ways! I always wonder to myself, why is He allowing a certain situation to continuously occur or what is not being learned in a situation? I even wonder about others why they are still in a trial. God prepares us for certain distinct things that He needs to have us do in order to advance the Divine plan for His Kingdom.
Reading today, I came across 1 Peter 5:5-10. In this particular passage, God reminded me that we must remain humble regardless of the circumstances. If God sees that we truly remain in a humbled state that He will exalt us when He is satisfied with the position we have taken. We need to give Him all of our concerns and trust that He is taking care of us. I was reminded that God cares and loves us deeply. We must resist Satan at every turn and that if we do this, in faith and have suffered a while, He will strengthen us and settle us.
I can say that I find this particular task overwhelmingly difficult at times myself. The world is full of so much stuff nowadays designed to push us away from God’s love. I find that it all goes back to the same principle. God left us with His word (The Bible). He gave us a promise in it. I know that over the years I have also receive real, tangible evidence, that God’s love is real and God is always present. Those are things that I can speak of that are real facts that God truly exists and is ever powerful, contrary to what people that don’t believe profess.
As the years have passed, Satan has intricately woven so many things that has served the purpose of driving people away from God. The passage above that I came across today puts things back into perspective. This can be applied to literally everything! Any conversation we have. The feelings from music listened to or movies watched. When our children mess up. Horrible or great experiences at work. When the endless road of trials don’t seem to end… It is all in preparation for what God has in store for us.
Look at some of the big name people in the Bible and what they went through and how long they endured trials in preparation of the glory that God granted. I can think of the story of Joseph who was sold into slavery by his own brothers, or the story of Abraham… How about Moses? Or the biggest example everyone knows about…. Jesus! All of the names mentioned endured some pretty heavy, yet miraculous stuff. Look at the glory each of them received when their trials were over.
I like to relate Jesus, for example, to the saying I learned a long time ago… With great power comes great responsibility. Jesus put the FULL burden of sin on His back and paid the price of our sin through the sacrifice of His life. All while loving everyone… Even the ones who crucified and beat Him. That is absolute humbleness. It always excites me when I can tie that into a message I am writing. It typically brings me back to remind me of how lucky I am. That I have a Father and a King that love me so much to orchestrate a sacrifice of that magnitude so that I can be saved and go to Heaven. Writing that, makes me feel humbled. It also reminds me that no matter what I go through, Jesus already endured it. All I need to do is remain humble, and live according to God’s plan for me. Eventually, my trial will end and He will reward me with what He has for me.
Until next time my brothers and sisters in Christ, God Bless!
