He Uses It All!

For good or for bad, God uses everything to His advantage in order to advance His Kingdom agenda!

That’s a crazy concept to fathom isn’t it? When I was younger and began to worship God, I used to think when I would make a poor choice or I would sin, that God no longer wanted to waste His time on me. Nowadays as I have learned that I must love God with all of me as was said in Matthew 22:37, I get curious once in a while when I find myself stumbling and ask God for forgiveness, why has He chosen me to do the things I am doing, such as this blog that I have been doing? Well the answer is simple…. He uses everything to His advantage… Even brokenness!

I find it interesting when I hear stories of people who have fallen and couldn’t find their way because of a situation they were in… Then find themselves thrown into another situation where they are doing great things. I will share one shining example. Pastor Tony Evans. He is the Senior Pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX. He was a kid who was on fire for football. He had big aspirations of becoming a football star. Well, as life would have it, he got injured. To the point he couldn’t finish the season he was in. He looked to God and said “Your will be done”. He was broken in that moment. God took that situation, that pain, and turned it into something beautiful. He placed Pastor Evans in a position to reach out to people in God’s house, and he is good at it. He does God’s work unbelievably well. While I am not particularly part of his church, I feel he puts out a marvelous message. To be quite honest, I love any message that is put out that glorifies God. It usually gives me goosebumps.

Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all who are labour and heavy laden, and I will give you rest”.

This passage always seems to give me hope. I love how God, no matter the circumstances, wants us to enter into and remain in a relationship with Him. It is wonderful that His mercy renews each day. It is certainly free for us to take this offer. Only thing we need to do is believe in Him. I personally find it comforting that I have a Father that is loyal and true to me. I find it awesome that even with the children in the world whose fathers on Earth abandoned their obligation to care for the child, that they ultimately have an eternal Father who will never turn His back on them. He will use all that pain and agony and feelings of being rejected and turn them into a tool to advance His kingdom.

It doesn’t matter what the situation is…. There is no situation big enough, no people dangerous enough, no situation dire enough, no injury painful enough, to override the joy, the love, the power and the Glory of God! So I implore all of us, that no matter the circumstances, that we give God the praise and the glory… To know that His kingdom is at hand and at work in our lives, that our situations are being used for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose!
