Psalm 46:10 – “Be Still and know that I am God!”
God today called on me today to pause what I am doing to discuss this so very important topic with all of you. This is the one thing that we easily overlook, yet it is a very important weapon we have in everything that Satan throws at us. For us to BE STILL…
Satan is the ultimate deceiver, the prince of darkness, and the ultimate source of death. He is everything God is not. We find ourselves in the midst of anxiety and stress not knowing how to get past the moment we are in. More often than not, we are presented with a “fix it now” in the flesh choice. I would venture to say we can all agree that more often than not, that it is not a spiritually right choice.
It is in that moment that God calls on us all to “Be Still”…. “Be Still and know that I am God”. He wants us to trust Him in those desperate moments. Those moments of weakness where we don’t know what to do. At the same time, Satan will be tugging at our ears and minds to look at the instant gratification that is in front of us. This can be anything. Satan knows our weaknesses and knows what will drive us to the instant gratification. One thing we need to remember… What we say yes to for Satan, we say no to for God. There are so many scriptures in the bible that shows us how to be in these situations outside of just “Be Still”.
Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
Ecclesiastes 8:6 – “For there is a time and a way for everything, although man’s trouble lies heavy on him”.
Ephesians 6:10 – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might”.
Proverbs 29:11 – “A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back”.
Phillipians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”.
These are just a few of several. Please my brothers and sisters in Christ… Keep God close in ALL situations… No matter WHAT! When you are anxious, imagine Christ is sitting right next to you… Holding your hand. We are so lucky to have a Father that looks to give it all to us. All the joy and happiness and peace we can imagine… Though the thought of what we are getting now is finite compared to what we will receive when we enter His kingdom. No matter what, all situations are temporary, because this life is temporary.
Until next time my brothers and sisters in Christ, God Bless!
