Not Alone

In a world of such turmoil and chaos, it is hard during times of despair to think that we are not alone.

Have you ever felt feelings of depression? What about feelings of anger? What about anxiety, or fear, or worry? What about happiness? I can tell you that I felt ALL of those things and I can tell you that in the toughest moments in the past, I have felt myself thinking is God really looking at me? Why is He allowing me to struggle this much?

Sometime after my meditation after reading God’s word today, I thought about Jesus as He prepared His disciples for His passion that He was about to endure. Thinking about Jesus and what He went through sort of puts my pain that I experience into perspective. He felt every possible emotion mankind will ever feel (sorrow, depression, angst, worry, fear, anxiety, sadness, anger, happiness, joy, etc.)

I take a look at a lot of what I read and learned about the unconditional obedience He had to the Father and what that meant for all of humanity. Jesus went through ALL of it and paid the ultimate price for ALL sin.

Romans 6:23 – “For the wage of sin is death”. We are all born into a world full of sin. when we are born again, or baptized, we are alive. We are saved. We are born again into the Spirit. Doing this proclaims victory over sin. Satan despises this. For those already born again, have you ever noticed that since giving your life to Jesus, that life becomes more challenging? Satan is hard at work trying to destroy what you did. What he doesn’t get, is he already has lost. I have experienced more challenges since giving my life to God. They became more intense challenges as I became an adult.

Now, what we get to do each day is continuously give our life over to God and give Jesus our heart and we are led through our day. This is a blessing. When it is time for us to pass from this life, we then get to go into an eternity of joy with our savior. Our commitment is minute compared to the glory and eternal happiness we will get to experience with the Lord.

Just know that any problem, big or small, is temporary. Know that there will be a time that comes where “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” – Revelation 21:4.

For the Kingdom of God is at hand. Until next time friends, may the Lord be with you.
